Where it all started

Anna Mae Bullock, born and raised in Nutbush, a small farming community outside of Brownsville Tennessee, is known worldwide as Tina Turner.

Fans from around the world travel to Brownsville each year to celebrate the “Queen,” and the legacy of Flagg Grove School, her childhood schoolhouse.

About Flagg Grove School

Benjamin Brown Flagg sold one acre of land in January 1889 to a group of Trustees charged with the task of building Flagg Grove School.

Tina Turner Museum

The Tina Turner Museum, located inside the restored Flagg Grove School, is filled with Tina Turner memorabilia, including costumes from her last tour, gold and platinum record awards and more.
